Average winter temperature is -16°С, in spring and autumn it is -7°С, however some days spring temperature can fall down to -15 and even to -20C.

The northern, western and southern areas of the range can be easily accessed by car from the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. From Bishkek the way goes through Tamga, then after next village Barskaun we continue to south 200-250 km on gravel road by off-road vehicle.
