The interest for this horseback riding program is increasing from year to year as it includes some of the most interesting areas of Kyrgyzstan - Sonkul Lake and Tash-Rabat caravansary with its beautiful landscape and traditional nomadic life of Kyrgyz people.

It is possible to combine horseback riding program with trekking along two different routes which are remote from each other. For instance, trekking in Terskey Ala-Too and then horseback riding trekking from Sonkul Lake to Tash-Rabat.

Best travel season for this tour: June – September

Optimal size of group: 6-12 persons

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrival in Bishkek.

Day 2 Drive to Sonkul Lake (390 km).

Day 3 Full day in Sonkul Lake.

Day 4 Horseback riding to Uzun Bulak Pass (3126m) then Aga Tash Pass (3105m).

Day 5 Horseback riding over Sary-Imek pass (3184m) to Boor Alas Valley.

Day 6 Horseback riding to Ak-Tal-Chat Valley.

Day 7 Horseback riding along Mazar River.

Day 8 Horseback riding over Baibiche Pass (3082m) to Tegerek.

Day 9 Horseback riding over Oinok Dzhar or Kum-Bel to Tash-Rabat.

Day 10 Full day in Tash Rabat, walking, radial trek to Tash-Rabat pass (3964m) to view mountain Lake Chatyr-Kul, return to the Yurt Inn.

Day 11 Drive to Bishkek (350 km).

Day 12 Departure.

Conditions:

  • Tourists have must their own outfit (warm clothes and shoes, rain-coat) as well as sleeping bags
  • It is necessary to have medical insurance
