Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek & City Sightseeing

Arrival by international flight in Bishkek. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After some rest, enjoy an afternoon city sightseeing tour in Bishkek, including visits to the Philharmonic Society, Ala-Too Square, Victory Square, handicraft shops, Osh Bazaar, and the Fine Arts Museum.

Day 2: Scenic Drive to Karakol

Transfer to Karakol (400 km, approximately 6 hours drive). Overnight stay in a guest house.

Day 3: Jety-Oguz Gorge & Trek to Valley of Flowers

Transfer to Jety-Oguz Gorge (30 km). Begin trekking through the Valley of Flowers towards the Teleti Pass. Overnight in tents.

Day 4: Teleti Pass Trek & Karakol Valley Descent

Continue trekking along the Teleti Gorge and cross the Teleti Pass (3,759 m), which takes approximately 4 hours. Descend into the Karakol Valley (3–4 hours). Camp overnight in the gorge, surrounded by stunning, steep-sided mountains.

Day 5: Trek to Ala-Kol Approach via Kurgak-Ter Gorge

Trek down the Karakol Gorge to the Sirota shelter (2,800 m), then branch east for about 2 hours, climbing a small tributary valley (Kurgak-Ter Gorge) towards Ala-Kol Lake. Camp near a small alpine lake.

Day 6: Ala-Kol Lake & High Pass Crossing

Trek up to Ala-Kol Lake and continue over the Ala-Kol Pass (3,860 m), offering incredible panoramic views. Descend (approximately 2 hours) through a steep section into the Keldike Gorge. Total trekking time is about 8 hours. Water is available from streams along the route.

Day 7: Altyn Arashan Gorge & Hot Springs Experience

Enjoy a 3-hour trek down into the Altyn Arashan Gorge. Visit the famous “Golden Spring” hot springs (40–45°C), where you can relax and swim. A vehicle will meet the group for transfer to Karakol. Overnight in a guest house.

Day 8: Journey to Issyk-Kul Lake & Petroglyphs Visit

Transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake (180 km, approximately 2.5 hours drive). En route, visit ancient petroglyphs—an open-air collection of stones with historical inscriptions. Overnight at an accommodation near the lake beach.

Day 9: Return to Bishkek via Burana Tower

Transfer to Bishkek (260 km, approximately 4 hours). On the way, visit the Burana Tower, a historic Silk Road monument dating back to the 12th century. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 10: Departure from Bishkek

Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your international departure.

Altitude Advisory:

If you are new to high altitudes, you may have some concerns. However, this trek progresses gradually without significant altitude gain, and altitude-related issues are rare on this route. To minimise any risk, walk at a steady pace and drink plenty of fluids.

Important Notes:

Tourists must have a medical insurance policy with coverage of at least USD 30,000.

Due to road conditions in the Altyn Arashan Gorge, a 4WD or cross-country vehicle (truck bus) is required.

Each porter carries up to 20 kg. Any excess weight will be charged at USD 3 per additional kilogram.
