Along the Great Silk Road in Central Asia
Day 1: Almaty
Arrive in Almaty. Overnight in the hotel Accommodation: 3* Hotel
Day 2: Almaty
Breakfast. Sightseeing in Almaty: Zenkov's Orthodox Cathedral, Panfilov's Park, Square of the Republic, Monument of Independence, Abai Theather, Medeo. Options: State Museum, Museum of Musical Instruments Accommodation: Kazjol Hotel 3* or similar
Day 3: Almaty - Bishkek
Afternoon arrival in the hotel in Bishkek, check-in. Sightseeing in Bishkek: Philharmonic Society, Ala-Too Square, Victory Square, handicraft studios & shops, eastern bazaar. Options: Fine Arts Museum, History Museum Accommodation: 3* Hotel
Day 4: Bishkek – Tamchi village
Transfer to Issyk Kul Lake. On the way visit Burana Tower, a historical monument of XII AD. The road comes along the north shore of Lake Issyk-Kul to Tamchi village. Overnight at-home stay. As options: Borsok show in homestay Accommodation: CBT homestay (shared facilities)
Day 5: Tamchi village – Tamga village
Transfer to Tamga village via Cholpon-Ata. Stop for lunch and sightseeing in Karakol. Sightseeing tour in Karakol: Muslim Mosque built in the shape of Dungan pagoda, Orthodox Church. Dinner and overnight in a guest house in Tamga. Options: excursion to Ethnographical Museum, and Petroglyphs Museum in the open air near Cholpon-Ata Accommodation: Tamga Guest House (shared facilities)
Day 6: Tamga village – Bishkek
After breakfast transfer to Bishkek, visit Skazka Canyon on the way, walk, and picnic. Last-minute shopping in Bishkek
Day 7: Bishkek – Airport
Morning transfer to Bishkek. Shopping. Free time. Transfer to the airport.
