Description

How would you like the people of Kyrgyzstan to celebrate New Year's Navruz? We invite you to Navruz and Culinary Tour in Kyrgyzstan for 8 days. On the tour, you will get acquainted with the cuisine of the Kyrgyz people. We will celebrate Navruz at Ala-Too Square in Bishkek. You will also see the different traditions and lifestyles of nomads and modern people.

Tour Date: 21 March – 28 March

Day 1. Celebrating Nowruz in the Ala-Too Square in Bishkek

We will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. After checking into the hotel, we start a city tour, where we will visit Ala-Too Square, Panfilov Park, Oak Park, and Osh Bazaar. On Ala-Too Square we will see the celebration of the Kyrgyz New Year or the Nooruz holiday, we will see traditional dances, clothes, and traditional life.

Day 2. Burana tower, Culinary master class of “Besh-Barmak” and “Boorsok” in Chon Kemin

After breakfast, we will drive to Chon Kemin nature park. On the road, we will visit Burana tower and hear the story and legends of Burana tower. Also, we will visit the museum of Balbal stones nearby – open sky petroglyphs. Upon arrival at Chon Kemin, we will make preparation for “ Boorsok”. For the lunch, we will have the culinary master class of Kyrgyz main course “Besh Barmak”. Besh Barmak is translated as “5 fingers” because it is eaten by 5 fingers without cutlery. Then we will have walking in the Chon Kemin nature park. In the evening we will continue our masterclass of “Boorsok” – traditional Kyrgyz bread.

Day 3. Yssyk Kul lake, Culinary show of “Samsy” and “Lazy” in Cholpon Ata resort city

Today we will continue our journey to the north shore of Yssyk Kul lake and we will be settled at the resort City of Cholpon Ata. Then we will visit the Ruh Ordo cultural complex. Here we can see the 5 different kinds of religious temples and their values. Ruh Ordo translated from the Kyrgyz language as the “Center of the Soul”. And of course, today we will have a culinary show of bakery “Samsy”. It is minced meat with greens in the dough. Another part of our culinary show will be “Lazy”- a spicy sauce with hot peppers, tomatoes, and garlic.

Day 4. Karakol city tour, Jyrgalan Valley

let’s continue our trip to Karakol city – the city of youth, ski resort city, and the administrational center of Yssyk Kul region. Upon arrival at Karakol, we will have a Karakol city tour. During the city tour, we will visit Holy Trinity Cathedral, Dungan mosque which was built without any nails, and Bugu bazaar street market. Also, we will taste Ash-Lyam-Fu. Then we will continue to Jyrgalan Valley overnight.

Day 5. Culinary day of “Chak-Chak” in Jyrgalan valley, Ak-Suu Kench hot water

Today we will go to Jyrgalan valley where we will have a culinary show of the national desert “Chak-Chak”. After lunch in the guesthouse in Jyrgalan we will come down to Ak-Suu Kench mineral hot water to swim. The mineral hot water is useful for health, and well-being and relieves fatigue. In the evening we will have dinner with Uygur local family and see an instrumental folklore show of the local musical band “Kylym”

Day 6. Skazka canyon, Culinary show of “Byzhy” in Kizil Tuu, Shor Bulak homestay

We will visit Jeti Oguz valley, and hike to Maiden braid waterfall. Also, we will see Jeti Oguz rocks, Broken heart scales, and hear their stories, passing 4 bridges of 7 along the river. Then we will continue the journey along the south shore of Yssyk Kul Lake. On the road, we will visit Canyon Skazka.

We will visit Kyzyl Tuu village in order to see the demonstration of gathering nomadic yurt camp. We will also have lunch with this local family and continue to Shor-Bulak village. Because we will visit local handicrafts women's organizations and see the process of making different goods from felt. Then we will come to the local family in this village in order to overnight. Here we will have the culinary master class of traditional food ”Byzhy”. Byzhy is the boiled abdomen of a cow or sheep filled with rice and other greens, and spices.

Day 7. Culinary Day of “Kattama”, Bishkek

Transfer to Bishkek city, On the road, we will visit the Canyons of Konorchek, have lunch at the famous dining place of local people “ Apamdyn Kattamasy”, and see a culinary master class of traditional bread “Kattama”. Upon arrival at Bishkek city, transfer to hotel, free time

Day 8. Transfer to Airport

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Bishkek city
